Today i officially launch alittlestranger.com! 

I wanted a .com and something a nit more grown up to reflect the direction my work is going. Ive been secretly working on the site for a few months and have decided to properly get going with it, it still needs a few tweaks here and there but the functionality is fine! 

To celebrate, here is a new wallpaper! I will be adding a new wallpaper each month on alittlestranger.com

Wedding Cake Toppers

These are for my friends Pebe and Tori who are getting married this week. It's very exciting because they are the first out of our group of friends to get hitched!

Ive been working on these in secret for the last couple of months but i can finally post a picture because now i have given them to the bride and groom to be! They are made of resin, but the necks are poseable. I will try and get some more pics on the big day of them on the cake!

The Octopal

This funny Pentapus appeared in my garden the other day looking for a place to stay, i gave her a shrimp sandwich and now she lives with me!

She has been in the pipeline for a while, but didn't turn out quite how i expected, im not sure about her just yet.

Prices reduced, go lookie!!

When i started selling my plushes, i didnt know what to price them at so the price reflected the amount of time it took me to make them, but the exchange rate between $ and £ makes my plushes less affordale to you guys in the US. Also now I've made some friends online who also make plushes and see how they price theirs i have a better idea of how to price mine!

So I've reduced their prices on my Etsy shop :D

Monster Juggling balls

These are from back in June but i only just remembered i had photos of them 0__0. They were a birthday present for my boyfriend, they go in a black fleece bag that has a face on it too.

Each one has a different expression (i like the shouting one the best!)

I thought that for if hes going to be a crusty juggler anyways he may as well do it in style :P

A peek at whats to come

Here is a little peek at the direction some of my new designs are going to go in. Ive learnt a lot from my last set of plushes, the little girls in monster suits. I enjoyed setting myself a limit of only producing 10 of them but i think making all 10 in a row has made my blog a big stagnent. My next line of plushes will come along a bit more sporadically and mixed up with other things - while making the little girls i have been coming up with lots of new ideas that I'm desperate to make as plushes!

I am also working on some cake toppers for a friends wedding which i will post pictures of in the next couple of weeks, i am very excited about getting them finished!!

The festival was fantastic, it was lovely having a few days off but now i'm back i've got to get busy busy busy working on my new designs! I also need to try and get the smell of fires and hippies out of my hair :P

Grrr i'm a zombie monster!

This is number 9 of 10 - only one more to go!! This little one is wearing a zombie costume, RAR! She has already found a home but the other little girls in monster suits are avaliable in my shop. I am really excited about the last one of these little girls and i will post her picture soon, i am also excited about what will be coming next but that is a secret for now! ha!

I am going camping for a few days so i will see you when i get back :D ....

Hollypop Skeleton Qee

This little guy has been around for a while but i only just got a tripod for my camera so these are my first pictures of him in the dark that aren't blurry! He is a 2" Qee (I think he was an alien? I remember him having a silver head) keychain. I Removed the keychain attatchment and all the existing paint and gave him a new neon pink look with lots of shiny shiny laquer. In black light he glows even better because the UV paint AND the phosphorescentplastic plastic glow.

The phone is another story. I felt a bit twatish having a silver blackberry in that black holster they give you seeing as i only really use it for flickr and face book. They're great for business-heads but its wasnt very me, so i Holly-fied it. Now its a Raspberry instead of a Blackberry :oP

There have been some exciting happenings in the world of Hollypop lately, well exciting if you like looking at websites!

Hollypop.co.uk was getting a bit convoluted, with the gallery here, news there and a blog somewhere else again. So i've moved everything together and i think its a bit easier to navigate this way.

A new start

I had a g4 ibook before (in 4/5 years i worked my way through 4 of them, eep!) So this is such a massive upgrade - no trackpad! haha! Only downside so far is that the screen is so big i can see now how rubbish some of my photos are, they looked really crisp before :oP

I went in thinking i'd get the 20" but left with the 24", it barely fits on my desk and i can feel it making my eyes square. Its awesome.

These are two new custom plush dragons that i made last week. That was about it for last week, i'm working on another plush but i'll post pictures when he's totally finished! Also through livejournal i found this website http://www.spookydaddy.com/ Their toys are great, cute but with goth tendencies - plush i can relate to! ha!
